(Web Services Interoperability Organization) Industry body that aims to make sure web services work with each other. Founded at the instigation of Microsoft and IBM, WS-I is an alliance of technology vendors and other interested parties that works alongside standards bodies. It offers tools, best practice guidelines and implementation advice to help developers create web services that will live up to the vision of platform-independent interoperability.
