(Systems Integrator) An assembler of complex computer systems. SIs are specialists in bringing together hardware, software and professional services to build enterprise-class computer systems for large-scale deployments. Although the term can be used to describe any company or individual that builds systems from multiple components, it often refers exclusively to the top multinational SIs, which include Accenture, CSC, EDS, IBM Global Services and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.
