OASIS

(Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) Leading e-business standards body. OASIS is a global consortium of tech industry and corporate members, dedicated to developing and championing XML-based standards for electronic business. OASIS is responsible for several emerging web services standards, most notably WS-Security and UDDI, as well as Web Services for Remote Portals (WSRP) and Web Services for Interactive Applications (WSIA). It is also jointly responsible, with UN/CEFACT, for ebXML and related standards. OASIS has a policy that standards specifications should be royalty-free.
